Hi, I'm Tori, and I'm a visual artist from central Florida! I currently attend Florida State University in Tallahassee studying studio art and psychology. When I'm not making art I also greatly enjoy writing, running, and spending time with the people I love.
     My favorite pieces center around nostalgia, memory, mental health and surreal sensations. I enjoy making art about the people that I have encountered in my life. I also find great importance in working from topics in mental health, and plan to pursue a doctorate that allows me to work in mental & behavioral health research and prevention.
     I primarily work in 2D mixed media, and I like experimenting with collage, as is evident with one of my favorite works, "Depersonalization/derealization", a watercolor base with layers of collage and dry media on top. For this piece in particular, I think that the chaotic elements of the collage adequately portrays the disorientation of self through the disjointed appeal of textures and materials.
